sprachkun.de is run by Sarah Reuter, who has been working as a self-employed translator and interpreter since 1999.
Sarah holds a Diploma in Translation and a Diploma in Interpreting, both from the University of Applied Sciences Cologne, Germany, where she studied with Prof Dr Hans Siegfried Scherer (†) and Prof Dr Sylvia Kalina, and a Master of Arts in Interpreting and Translation Studies from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, where she studied and worked with Dr Ludmila Stern.
In the course of her studies, she spent one semester at the University of Westminster in London and at the Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, respectively, as well as three months at the Comitato Linguistico in Perugia. From 2003 until 2006, she worked as an in-house translator and interpreter for the Bundeskriminalamt (German Federal Criminal Police Office) in Wiesbaden, Germany. Sarah is a member of the German "Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators" (BDÜ).
